In the midst of the skincare mania that is
going on recently, numerous beauty and skin care products are coming up almost
every day in the market. And for some, the more products they use in their face
is more likely to irritate it. And when irritation happened, acne and other
unwanted imperfection will build up.
May it be to your skin rest from the
harsh beauty products or for emergencies, this list will give you ideas on skin
remedies that you can easily do at home.
- 1. Honey and oatmeal mask or
scrub – You probably predicted this tandem to be in
the list. This is best for those who have dry skin and/or sensitive skin. Honey
and oatmeal mask or scrub can help soothes your skin. The combination will
gently exfoliate your skin without aggravating the acne in your face.
- 2. Cucumber slice eye patch – This one’s also already quite popular, and with good reasons. This
is best in reducing the swelling as well as to relax or soothe the damaged skin
around the eyes. The juice of cucumber has a cooling effect that will make the
skin feel refreshed.
- 3. Sugar and olive oil scrub – This formula can also be used not just a body and face scrub but
as a lip scrub as well. Adding an essential oil for the body scrub is optional.
The oil will help hydrate the dry skin while the sugar will do the
exfoliating. Just make sure to use a
moisturizer after so it can lock the benefits of the scrub.
- 4. Lemon and sugar scrub – This combo will cleanse and exfoliate your skin while doing some
brightening and whitening on the side. After gently scrubbing your skin with
it, leave it for another ten minutes then rinse with warm water.
- 5. Egg whites and lemon mask – Egg whites and lemon will help tighten the pores and reduce the
skin’s oiliness. The acid in the lemon will help in absorbing the oil in the
skin and it also has anti bacterial properties. Just make sure that you have no
egg allergy.
- 6. Petroleum jelly – Petroleum jelly, or mineral oil, is best applied for dry and
patchy skin. It is gentle and also has soothing properties aside from giving
moisture to the skin. It is also relatively cheap and you might already have
one in the corner of your home.
